Fishpond USA – Fly Fishing Accessories and Lifestyle Clothing

You’ve probably heard of Fishpond. The company is based in Silverthorne, Colorado, and manufactures its products in Denver. It also aims to create products that don’t harm the environment, such as its monofilament nylon. In fact, it recycles ocean trash for its packaging. And while most plastic bottles are manufactured overseas, Fishpond products are produced in the U.S. They are made from 100% recycled plastic and monofilament nylon.

Fishpond is headquartered in Silverthorne, Colorado

Founded in 1999, Fishpond is a brand of fly fishing accessories and lifestyle clothing. Co-founder John LeCoq incorporated his design and manufacturing skills into fabric to create a brand that was unmatched. Since then, Fishpond has grown from humble beginnings to a multi-million dollar company. Products range from vests to backpacks, tackle bags and coolers to fishing nets. Most Fishpond products use recycled nylon, a renewable resource that the company obtains from commercial fishermen.

The company is a leading player in the outdoor gear market, with over 30 locations worldwide. Fishpond‘s employees are sometimes photographers and have worked for Fortune 500 companies before starting the company. Jerry Rawles, the company’s co-founder and president, turned a trash-diving habit into a business and donated thousands of dollars to help disabled people learn to ski. In addition, the company also sponsors events that bring local mountain towns closer to tourists and businesses.

It manufactures products in Denver

Established in 1999, Fishpond USA manufactures its products in Denver, Colorado. Founded by John LeCoq, a former Case Logic co-founder, Fishpond began manufacturing specialized fly fishing gear in the Denver area. In addition to producing a range of technical fly fishing gear, the company also manufactures tackle bags, coolers, vests, and fly fishing nets. Their products use nylon reclaimed from commercial fishing nets.

As a company with a strong environmental conscience, Fishpond USA focuses on reducing its environmental footprint. In fact, the company donates $3700 to the nonprofit organization Save the Colorado to support its conservation and restoration work. Despite being headquartered in Denver, Fishpond has been manufacturing their products in the region for more than 15 years. Moreover, the company is proud to be a Denver-based company.

It recycles ocean trash

As a Certified B Corporation, Fishpond USA recycles ocean trash by turning fishing nets into technical fabrics. The company is committed to recycling ocean trash and measures its impact on the environment. It is also the first fly fishing company to be certified as a B Corporation. This means that Fishpond has high standards for social and environmental performance, as well as transparency and legal accountability. In addition to fishing nets, Fishpond also recycles ocean trash through a third party, Bureo. This company works with local communities and fisheries to recycle nets and other materials into products known as NetPlus.

In addition to being an innovator in ocean trash recycling, Fishpond recycles plastic bottles. Since it manufactures its storage systems and boxes from 100% recycled plastic, they help the environment in a positive way. They measure their success through their efforts to make a difference in the world and hold themselves to a high standard in environmental stewardship through design. This commitment is reflected in the company’s innovative designs and commitment to making the environment a better place to live.

It uses monofilament monofilament nylon

The main difference between monofilament nylon and fluorocarbon leader material is the amount of stretch they offer, which is beneficial to fish. The suppleness of monofilament allows more realistic presentations and more aggressive strikes. While fluorocarbon is becoming increasingly popular for use in fishing lines, the monofilament nylon line is much more economical and available. It also floats better than fluorocarbon, which tends to sink and pull smaller patterns under the water.

Unlike fluorocarbon, nylon is more pliable, allowing you to use it as a leader for large-game fishing, which often requires large diameter lines. Fluorocarbon, on the other hand, is stiff and difficult to knot, and you must work hard to get it to lie flat and sit properly. Therefore, it is more durable than fluorocarbon, but you have to be careful about its disposal.
